It is a scratchuilt cab on a modified Airfix Matador chassis towing an upgraded Airfix 5.5" Gun. It is based upon an IWM photo of a combination of the 240th Bty - 51st Med Regt RA - 3 Corps based at Ellesmere, Cheshire taken by a Lt. Taylor on July 7, 1941 somewhere is Western Command territory. Neilie Posted March 24, 2012 Author Share Posted March 24, 2012 Thanks for the nice comments, Gents....and Tony....to answer your question - good plans, reasonably correct kits to work with, lots of photos, liberable amounts of plastic strip, sheet and rod, brass wire, etc. etc....and the modelling and scratch-building experience my almost 69 years has provided...not to mention, a tolerant and supportive wife. I also have very helpful and supportive members of this Forum and fellow modellers on other sites who are a constant source of inspiration and assistance.
