Redherring
I assume this to be a hand operated fuel priming pump. Still works. I'd love to know on what types of vehicle it was used. It is inscribed with the words: Rotherham's Coventry. Robert

8_10 Brass Cleaner
Could this be from an early aircraft? I would suggest that whatever it is, it is more likely lubrication related. The bottom bit, that is the portion adjacent to the rule between 70 and 123mm is identical to some flip lid drip feed oilers I had, also by the same manufacturer. They sold like hot cakes on e-bay. Redherring
Hi. The part you specified contains a small piston which you can pump by hand using the coin sized end at the 20mm mark. The piston is retracted by an internal spring. Does that sound like your oiler? I have an open mind as to its function.
