Jack
Morning all. Just a quick one. I read at the D-Day museum yesterday that the first Dodge WC's were supplied to the British and used for the North Africa campaign. Can anyone shed any light on this and would be interested to know what colour they were sprayed. Cheers. Jack.
Enigma
Hi Jack As far as I know the Brittisch forces got Canadian built Dodges. Looking a lot like the 1/2 ton US built pick up Dodges like the WC 21. The US forces used 1/2 ton Pick up's in Africa when they arrived in late 1942. Enigma
Here 2 photo's of the same convoy in Africa. The one with the Jeep is well-known, the one from behind is being offered on Ebay and I never seen it before. Anyone know what the markings stand for and what colour the markings are?
