Hi Radek,

I would date that generator set at around the late 1950's ( 1957 ?). There should be a makers name and part number on the spark plug, what is it?

What is it GPO?

Got one of those also, keep it for the occasional jobs up at the field, but we fitted a better control box mounting and a BS4343 socket for safety.

Good little unit, will start and run loads over its rating.

Most were Army or GPO usage.

if you have a lack of spark check the points are clean as these engines suffer with a corosion that cotes the points ,there should be a acses cover for the points in the flywheel also the the plug gap wants to be 10 thou caunt remember points gap offhand good look .

Now the main problem is, that I can´t move with the wheal around, only cca 340 degree and back. :nut: I will try remove the head and check it one more. But here is another problem :-) I can´t remove the spark plug.

For the removing head I have to remove spark plug after then engine tin cover and then the head. :nut: :D

I have removed the head.

bouth velves move up and down well. On the piston was carbon (somebody used as fuel wood :D ) When I have cleaned it then flywheel can turn around.

Until this time I can´t remove the lower piece of the spark plug. :nut:

Have somebody screened Lodge S.R.2 18mm spark plug? :help:

Hi,

can somebody tell me how can I remove the rotor from the engine? :nut:

The nut is secured with the small ring, but not enoght space for removing.

The nut is free to turn in the rotor but held in place by the retaining ring, undo the nut, it maybe left hand thread? and as it winds out and comes up against the retaining ring it acts as a puller and should pull the flywheel/rotor off as you turn it
