Joris
I've read on their website that they are produced for at least $2.000.000,- but since they only built a few I think the price will rise higher then the ME262 will ever fly... Enigma
Looked at the website a while back. Really nice!! I used to make models of the experimental Nazi German Jet and rocket planes. Hope I'll see the 262 in flight, would be cool.
Degsy
Thanks for sharing that Joris, good to see, Iwonder how the pilot felt especially before the first flight as they were reputedly quite difficult to fly and even more difficult to land. As a result of this I believe far more were lost as a result of accidents than in action.
Joris
When you look at the movie you see that the pilot has a lot of trouble taking off and landing so the many accidents must be true.

Jack
wow, that must of scared the hell out of the allies. Still and impressive piece of technology now!
Degsy
Yes, if Hitler hadn't thrown a spanner in the works by insisting that it be used as a bomber and so delayed it's introduction the whole air war would have been in jeopardy.
Joris
Indeed, combined with the new anti aircraft rockets they had they were years ahead of the allies.

Joris
They had primitive ground to air rockets too but I was talking about air to air rockets.
