mark m uk
I'd really like to stumble across a barn like this. Locked away since just after WW1, 3 horse drawn German army ambulances. Recently discovered, and auctioned on ebay Fr. Picture of the farm, while being used as a makeshift hospital. OK, anyone care to take a guess at what price they made ? No cheating, and if you already know, keep it to yourself - it's just a bit of fun, I will reveal the winning bid later.

Rick W
A great fing. I'll have a guess at £3,000 each?
Tony B
Horse drawn vehicles can make silly money in thier own right. £4500
Great War truck
Indeed, an amazing find. It is impossible to value these things as they just dont come up for sale. So i would hazzard a guess between £1,500 and £35,000.
griff66
i would have thought in the right auction a lot more than the figures mentioned.:cool2:
ferrettkitt
I suspect that they either went for a silly amount lower than £500 (my bid) or over £5000
Runflat
An amazing find indeed. No undercarriage by the looks of things. So I'd have said around the 2,500 Euro mark (each). If anyone on here has bought one of these, do shout!
mark m uk
Well, the auction was for all three, and all the parafinalia found with them. A few helmets, shovels, etc. 17.000 Euros, I would have paid more - when is the next ww1 original german army ambulance comeing on the market.? Anyway, a bit of fun - and one of those vehicles that the value just have no previous marker to compare,
Tony B
Lot of very skilled restoration needed, not to mention horses, tack and upkeep. Just hope they have gone to a good home.
