What does it fit?? Anybody know??

It's been hiding in my garage for decades, bought it because I thought it fitted a Dingo. It has electric wiper motor and a heater element within the glass, all controlled by the rotary switch, electrical lead plugs into vehicle wiring system.

I think that it could be a windscreen to fit into a Stuart Tank, they were used when the vehicles were being driven longer distances, not in combat zones. Greater visibility and not as cold.

Proper name is "foul weather driving hood", IIRC.

 

I have them for Sherman, both large and small hatch, can post pictures later.

I've just been looking at a few restoration photos of a Stuart, and the screen looks different, in that it seats into the void of the view hatch, where as this screen tooks as if it clips onto a top rail, and is held in place by the centre over catches. So still open to ideas.
