Stefano
Heritage motor works Ltd. ( http://www.heritage-gb.org.uk ) do the folding kickstart, as well as a few other bits that you might find useful. As for the air filter, the genuine WW2 villiers ones are pretty rare, but the slightly later ones used to be available from Villiers Services. Hope this is of assistance, Stefano
Morris C8
Thanks, Nigel & Stefano for the info. I will cut up an old villiers air filter and make one from that. Bought this toolbox off Ebay some time ago.

Morris C8
Can any one date the my bike, i thought it was a 1946 model, But i have looked on the web and it may be a 1948 as it has a headlight switch on the top and a later type exhaust expansion chamber on it . They could have been put on at a later time. Eng No 5793 [ww2]? Frame No 14962. Thanks for your help.

Ron
12129 seems to be the last frame number for the final WO contract but even the last 1000 of these were cancelled I believe. The true engine number should be on the rear engine lug Prefixed with 'V' for Villiers carb. This was then usually followed up with a hand stamping of the frame number of the bike it was fitted too. (Royal Enfield seemed to have adopted this system to most of their models at that time). Frame number 5793 is from the same contract as my Flea S1945 demanded in 1943. Ron PS I have no records of post war numbers. Probably the REOC or VMCC for that. Edited August 1, 2013 by Ron
