Jack Posted July 31, 2009 Share Posted July 31, 2009 A couple of days before W&P I went over to Normandy again with another delivery of tents for Dead Mans Corner. On the way out it was so rough that I nearly had to use the sick bag. The SeaCat had been cancelled and we had to be moved from our berth with a tug - this was in Poole harbour for christ sake! I was expecting a quite journey but was full up:computerrage: Mid channel I was understanding what the Russian convoys had to go through:bow:.......... Once I got to Normandy it was wonderful weather. After having made the delivery I head for Carentan for a beer, then to St Mere Eglise and then down to Utah for an ice cream. Sat on top of a bunker there and sent email around the world from my BlackBerry - life is strange....
