  1. I'll bet it was worth it!:cool2: It certainly looked good on the Thursday when I saw it. How many laps of the arena did you do, lots of rev's and gunning it also - higher fuel consumption. I do think that W&P, should definately be subsidising the larger (tracked and wheeled) 'showstopper vehicles. After all thats what pulls in 'Joe Public'.
  2. I not quite sure about that, if you can afford to purchase, maintain and store a 'heavy vehicle' I guess anything tracked like a 432 or anything over CCKW size, then the extra 10-30p per litre fuel rise, by W&P wouldn't hurt that much would it? I'd have thought (with my limited experience in such things) would be the least expensive outlay? Obviously feel free to correct Mr Naive:angel:(Me)
  3. I have nothing to do with Cromwell, but am just a very satisfied customer.
  4. Cromwell Models do a Ferret in 1.35 for £35
  5. Wow:shocked: An excellent thread, its great to see how these range wrecks are bought back to life with lots of welding and fabrication. I just hope one day I may learn some of the skills to restore something alot smaller and alot less tracked:cool2:(WC52). Do you know any of the service history of the M10? Thanks for another great thread, Luke

Quite, it's now £4 an issue for 84 pages including front and back covers. 4.7p per page is rather pricey, I wonder what there circulation is, it must be pretty high and with the amount of adverts in it too! Is the price justified? I have skipped a few issues this last year because of that reason alone. I like the small editorials each month - " I can only apologise in retrospect for the need to pass on unavoidable cost increases that couldn't be absorbed in other ways." I thought inflation had fallen over the last year and the price of oil had too?
  9. Thanks Adrian , read that during the North African campaign tank interiors were painted white, so that timeframe fits.
  10. I was informed (and still believe) some time ago that British built tank interiors - Cromwell/Churchill etc. were a silver/aluminuium colour. Someone else on another forum says it can be white too, does anyone know for sure? Cheers, Luke

  13. Nice acquisition there, I've always liked MUTTs, too scared to drive one though - I'd probably roll it! Looks to be quite a challenging restoration, rusted to buggary in lots of places. Looking forward to seeing lots more progress and piccies.
