  1. Diamond T and also a Sherman Hull in the bacground is it, you have certainly got your hands full!! Thanks for the pictures.
  2. Looking through some old photo's tonight and found this picture that my dad took many years ago . He thinks it may have been at Chasewater, Staffordshire but isn't sure. Just wondering if it is anyone's on here or is still around?
  3. Been looking through some old photos at home and came across this one which my dad took many years ago. He doesn't remember where it was taken. Does anyone know if it is still around the show scene?
  4. No worries Dave I wasn't aiming the response at you anyway I was just clearing up what I read on the exhibit. I'm just interested to learn more about these vehicles from other people.
  5. The sheet I read that explained about this vehicle defiantly said that this one was based on a Cortina chasis.
  6. Well done Dave yes it is an Eagle kit car based on a Ford Cortina chasis apparently . Fooled me at first but then when I looked around it things started to make sense!
  7. Saw this at the Midlands Festival of Transport, now I expect some of you will know what it is but I hadn't seen anything like it before has anyone else?
  8. The ground wasn't too bad unless you were in something really heavy as the youtube clip shows it was just too hard to grip for some of these vehicles. We obviously didn't struggle in the Gipsy though :-D Yes commander they do if I remember rightly I think its something like £3 a vehicle.
  9. And some of the AFS influence that were at the show. Including a very different ue for what they were intended for:
  10. I spent Easter Sunday at the Midlands Festival of Transport at Weston Park, Staffordshire. Took the Gipsy and there were a number of other interesting vehicles in attendance (lots of cars), below are a selection of military vehicles that were on display.
  11. Anyone now when it is going to be shown in the UK on TV?
  12. Thanks very much for bringing this to my attention. I think that this thread has shown a dangerous precedent here. Ok I should have noticed that the date of the original post was from 2006 BUT I could have quite easily have gone on a 60 mile round trip on Saturday and found out that the event wasn't on. Perhaps old threads should be locked after the event has taken place as after all it is the Future events and meetings sub-forum. Sorry don't want it to seem like I'm having a moan but just want to stop other people from making the same mistake. Cheers Scott
  13. Panes recovery isn't it Jack? http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?13494-Ward-La-France-still-working&highlight=panes
  14. Hi Ray, thanks for the information. Might pop along on Saturday depending on how busy I am!
  15. What is the vehicle attendance like at this event? Might make a venture up with it only being 30 miles away.
  16. I'm guessing the above photo's were taken in Cyprus ojays? what a vehicle graveyard it is out there if so!
  17. A few more from me. All these were taken at Belvoir Castle over the past few years.
  18. Saw one Challenger 2 on a low loader heading north on the M6 by junction 9 yesterday, just by Walsall. It was armed forces day at Walsall FC yesterday as well but I doubt it was heading to that even though they were playing Milwall!!
  19. Looks really good Ivor in its new home, well done on that. Certainly a pretty rare vehicle and one which will hopefully be saved for years to come with it in its new accomodation.
  20. A few of my pictures from the 2008 event. It was certainly a great day out and one show that I shall be attending again this year.
  21. Has anyone else read the letter entitled, STILL UNDER ATTACK, in the latest CMV? What a great shame it is that you have to worry about things being thrown at your pride and joy every time you take it to a show. For those that haven't read the letter it come from a reader in Belfast who says both him and his colleagues have to be wary when they take their preserved vehicles out of Belfast in order to stop being attacked for driving in somthing green!!!
  22. It came to Dorset in 2007 complete with a nice looking living wagon.
  23. Is that the correct price on the website of £18.50 for the day?
  24. Doesn't time fly!!! I thought it was. Looking really nice anyway mate, will hopefully see it around a few midlands shows this year? Also is that Len Crane's Bedford Organ that you are taking the cab off from?
  25. Hi Mick, Some great pictures. Did this Pioneer appear in the Express and Star sometime last year or maybe the year before?
