  1. When swimming, if the crew become mutinus it is an essential that you have plank for them to walk off. :-D  Arr..
  2. The Fox looks like a toy parked next to that monster. Most impressive. :-o
  3. The barrels are replaceable but you need the key to remove them from the lock unit. To replace them you need to drill down the center of the barrel increasing drill size each time till the remains fall out or can be dug out. You can then just pop in a new barrel.
  4. Just stay away from nasty fuel and they run fine.
  5. What date is set for this? I will bring the shovel to pick up the Human pancakes from Kens field. :-o
  6. You will hve to ask Si nicely to show it you. :-D
  7. :-D We have seen a picture of one with its full load of three Frog Missiles. Looks the Mutt's.
  8. Grumpy and Rob went back to move it to meet the Low loader. They moved it by running on the left hand set of wheels. Rob ended up getting it pushed on to the trailer with a telehandler the next day.
  9. On the Saturday, Rob's dead Zil turned up on low loader and he left it to our rabble to get it running and off the truck. Cue yet more heavy rain, we speak no Polish, the drivers speak no english. :-D [imghttp://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00005-1.jpg[/img] Simon Stolly and i some how made it up on to the back then found how hard it was to get back down! Sorted out the batteries and the Truck driver made some nice sparks. Which ones the Go button? Got one of the 7litre V8's running but the other would'nt play. To loaded it they had bodged the fuel supply, got the other one running and left it to the truck driver to back it off the trailer. Bit scary as the middle two sets of wheels are fixed to the chassis, only suspension and steering on ffront and rear axle's. So it drives off mostly level till its left on the two middle axles, rocking with no way of steering it. :-o We returned later on in the evening to move it to camp. The poor right hand engine wouldnt run with a dodgy fuel pump so Grumpy towed it in with his Militant, Militant Graham leading and Simon blocking us by running out of fuel in the Mog. Back in camp, with aching arms from two of us doing the job of the steering pump at the wheel. Job done.
  10. I am sure John who owns the Valentine will turn up shortly with the answer.
  11. He was most upset the lovely cushion got soaked in one of the down pours. :-D
  12. As part of the cent moving crew, i doubt it will be ready for WP2008. The engine swap is on the cards as the current engine is probably beyond saving and Dave likes diesels. It was impressive to move such a big beast through the site, Dave brought the low loader but it rolled so easy we decided to carry on with the Militants as it was safer than winching it on with everyone watching and it was getting dark. You can just spot Grumpy in his Militant pushing, Simon Stolly in the Turret, Graham in his Militant pulling and i am stood on the back of Grahams militant. Also a big thank you goes to Graham who acted as runner in front clearing cars and people who thought it was a good idea to stand in front 90 plus tons of rolling road block! :-o
  13. Welcome aboard. :-D If you are heading to Beltring, Pete will be taking his Mk1 down and a Grahams and Grumpys Mk3's will be keeping it company. Looks all set to convoy down from Worcester tomorrow. Jon
  14. Standard L/R wheels will fit on Disco.
  15. With you now. DoH! :-D
  16. Suprising that rubber track cause more more damage then metal and rubber. Could it be that the weight of the traditional track helps control track flap? Cheers for the info.
  17. ....As Simon Stolly found out when he checked the pressures on the Unimog. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00069.jpg[/img] :-D  Also now know as Supermog!
  18. Went over to Withams on Saturday to browse the Tender Sale. Got a bit bored after playing in the BARV so went for a wander around the rest of the yard. Then spotted this odd CVR(T) Any one know any more about it? I presume its a prototype for the rubber tracks. :dunno: The rest looked standard and the back was full of Jerry cans and random bits of kit. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00078.jpg[/img] http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/Poptopshed/DSC00079.jpg[/img] Jon.
  19. A trick to get the bell housing studs to line up is to replace a couple with lengths of all thread, then locate these and use them as guides to line up the rest.
  20. Leave my little Metro out of this! I think Wonky old VW's would be a better choice ammo!
  21. Is the green really as bad as it looks in the pics's? Is it needle gun and grinder time again?
