  1. Does this mean we'll be meeting with the Huntingdon Wargamers? http://www.hdws.org.uk/
  2. Others are around. There's a Challenger prototype at the East of England Tank Museum (or there was, if I'm remembering right). There's also a Challenger 1 in Duxford.
  3. Wow, I have one of the Swiss jackets in the urban/night blue camouflage scheme from back at university. A few of us got them from a local army surplus shop down near Ipswich. It's easily the best coat I've ever had, hence still hanging onto it. I once got an entire weeks shopping in all the pockets - the amount of storage has to be seen to be believed. It made us wonder quite what all the pockets were meant for, especially the one inside. I don't suppose you have any idea?
  4. I'd use some copper slip rather than normal oil if you were going to - its rated to a high temperature.
  5. There's a video here that looks like the sa,e one - built out of an MTLB according to the text -
  6. Caught in the act of spying. This is a german war pigeon (from http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bundesarchiv_Bild_183-R01996,_Brieftaube_mit_Fotokamera.jpg)
  7. The curved front one is a Zil, the square fronted one is a Ural. There's a lot of similarity between the two. There are manuals downloadable on here - http://www.russianmilitarytrucks.com/ Good fun and easy to drive, though a pig to get started - I've been shown two different ways and theres definitely a knack to it that I don't have
  8. Ah cool - my apologies for the mix-up.

  11. Reading the blue light use website it mentions the use of a flashing light on vehicles with road signs attached. I wonder what the rules are on this? Could you put the blue/white arrow sign on the back of a slow vehicle like roadworks vehicles?
  12. Just spotted this thread - I've been out of the military vehicle scene for a few months due to work commitments. Drop me a PM with what you need and I'll see what I can do when I get in, or put you in touch with the right folks.
  13. After sampling the latest delicacy from the mess tent, a normal heimlich maneuver simply wasn't sufficient.
