  8. Thanks for the link and the research on finding the photo. At least the tunnel opening exists .....Has any one on the forum been inside ? is the lay out of the Box tunnel known? Got to admit the theory of having a few steam engines around in case on an EM pulse is a pretty good one , not sure it would make up for the 99% destruction of all the other things that rely on micro circuits .

  10. I ll chalk it up to the Mods being quick to take issues when needed , and the General agreement that We are all in this together and need each other to get the answers we need , other groups may have too many type "A" personalities perhaps ?
  11. I have heard of people having shafts and other items that have been scored or damaged restored by a method called plasma spraying , applying new metal to a surface and then regrinding to return the object to original dimension could that be done to this clutch brake drum ?

  14. A great looking GMC but then again aren't most of them seems a bit too clean at that moment , shame you had to pass it on ,Hope whoever bought it kept it up , do you know what has be come of it since ?
  15. Is there a actual rail tunnel matching the photo ? or is that a photoshop creation ? It speaks of taking all the scrap steel to be melted down that would have taken lots of truck loads and been noticed on the road as well as at the works by any number of people !

  23. Very nice drivers front wheel has only 3 lug nuts and two stud are broken off it would seem . wonder how much was lost by it being striped and repainted likely inside and out . Still it does have a lot to offer someone looking for a rare HMV
