  1. Where abouts was your rebuilt? My WC54 has a US , German rebuild plate for the sane period, then to Norway.
  2. Nice, do you intend it to swim?
  3. What the FAF is the point of owning a Dodge if you DON'T drive it? :-D I've done quite a few miles in mine, wet, dry , hot and cold, including some experiences that you'd not get in any other vehicle.
  4. Have a look around for an independent windscreen fitter. I'm lucky enough to have a great guy locally who will cut to size and shape. He's normally cheaper than the big suppliers, and as you usually cut from a standard sheet you get a spare for the same price!
  5. Sounds like the life of a typical military vehicle! :-D
  6. Welcome Joe, pull up a sandbag and join in.
  7. I was taught to make emergency gaskets from unglazed brown paper, often from envelopes. :-D The art of tapping around the edge of the casting to cut the paper.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUo5VD3DThc Another one of intrest.
  9. See how it was done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9m8RMHLE4A
  10. On a 70 year old vehicle, what is 'Factory Fitted'? Military vehicles , being working tools, not rich mens's toys, are repaired, altered and built from bits throughout thier days. Are all the bits original pattern?
  11. Go to be a celebratory year for quite a few. Long may they roll! :-D
  12. Welcome along. What do you collect, general or specific kit?
  13. Um, I've just found out I'm in a medium flood area! Send for the WELLIES! :wow:
  14. No for that I split a tin can down it's length, then smear plenty of repair paste in and secure with a couple of Jubille clips! I had an old Montego that went through a mumber of MOTs fixed like that. It is after all a metal to metal repair! :-D
  15. Both my Dodges are fitted with Frank Jolley's ignitions. Best investement I've made. The one in my WC51 has so far lasted ten years or so.
  16. Thae's where the Old Fashioned Baler twine would have been more use! You tie a bit to the throttle spring and run it out the bonnet and in the driver's window! Full power Scottie! :-D
  17. I still keep a load of baler twine and some fencing wire in all the vehicles. :-D Plus cable ties, the modern altenative.
