  1. http://www.odysseybattery.com/ There are also these gel battries, they seem to have a better reputation for reliability.
  2. Yes, I know her very well. I also have or can get her full history. PM if intrested. I would point out she is already set up exactaly as she would have been in service. (Actually Bob, drive that and you know why you own a Dodge!)
  3. Try Gordon's forum, there is a list of numbers there that will give an idea. I finally had to clean real Somme mud of mine, nearly cried. :-D
  4. http://www.wpchryslermuseum.org/ They are a very helpful bunch. E mail them the chassis number first and you will be told if they have it, then you can send cash for a copy. Some cards a are single, others are in a batch. I was lucky , both mine have complete cards.
  5. Just the right amount of wear! After all they are, not were, ARE! working trucks.
  6. Jerry cans are a concern to the ferrys anyway, particullaly fumes. I just leave the lids up to show they haven't been used in years. Always worth laminating De-Ac certificates, and if you copy them, mark the copy very clearly COPY, it is an offence to copy a certificate with intent to decive.
  7. You do need a decent compressor to work those.
  8. Add a couple of pontoons it would go down well after last winter.
  9. Have you tried jamming the pedal down for a couple of hours and let gravity have a go? Or holding the pedal down whilst pressure bleed is on? Bleeding (In both senses of the word) brakes and clutches seems to have been my main pastime for the last couple of weeks. Another trick, get some tube run from the bled nipple back up to the master and pump like fury. A hypodermic syringe and use that to fill the pipe before connection to the master. It can also be used to check if the pipe is clear, open the beleed nipple as you fill. Try pumping fluid through the master with the connection to the pipe lose a few times, then tighten. Most of it seems to be pump for hours and it just decided to work.
  10. Beach acess? If the tides out as it was on the 60th it was down to the slip, a wave and Bonjour to the Gendarmes and off I went!
  11. Take picture, reduce size using a free proggramme, I use Photoscape, then manage attachments below.
  12. Our problem took the French Presidient's office at 16:00 hrs to sort out! (I kid you not!) The Customs at Ouesterham are known to be horse's rear ends. The Gendarmes who had volunterred to escort us, what a great bunch!
  13. They were good enough for the German forces! I learnt to shoot on a Belgian made GP 35 with German markings.
  14. Welcome! Come by Ver Sur Mer in June we will have a lot of stuff there.
  15. Yes but that is Holland. The French can be awkward and as a lot of power is devolved to local level it just needs one pain to make life difficult.
  16. From Goldbeach we have been told De-Acs are OK as long as you have the certificate. Any sort of replica or airsoft definite no. They are even kicking ove licensed Firarms apparently, which contravenes EEC law, but the port officials as I know from last time can be right...awkward.
  17. Welcome Alan. The military did and do use tractors.
