  1. Sorry Tony, I Grew up on Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet (I think cs is better than tb) and watched them again when our son was younger, but never got into sting ray or joe90 etc.:undecided: Gerry
  2. Update- Emailed on sat to request confirmation via email and received an email as confirmation today, that the policy will cease on 12/11/12 Gerry

Clive, that is my one concern! i phoned today to cancell, i think i will also email them and my one other thing in my favour is its on my creditcard so will complain to the credit card firm also if they do take another payment. Be assured if they try to take another payment, i will have a moan! Gerry

Just got back from Germany on hol. to find Adrian flux renewal on doormat- with auto renewal in 8 days (but might take up to 3 days before) So I phoned Hagerty- What a brilliant firm to deal with, raised the value, full comp still, breakdown, public liability, buy back if financial rightoff, and covers my MBT attached or not!!! Oh and half the price!!!!!!!! and yes i have read the doc's. So now i have some extra money at Northern Mil Expo on Sunday- Yippee. :-D Phoned Flux to cancell continued renewal- so hope they stopped as promised!!!:-X Gerry

  8. Lee, its one of the new breed of Haynes- discription/history/main differences between GPW/MB/M201. not for working on Jeep. Would be better to get "The Complete WW2 Military Jeep Manual". or hit G503 for info. Hope this helps.

  12. Went up to Debach control tower today for a jeep gathering. Chilly but dry. :cool2:
  13. We use "systematic" at work, for our pallet orders- no problems with them, have seen engines on pallets- even lathes. you pay for height - 1/2 or full. Make sure its attached to the pallet- put timber through pallet frame if need be to secure. i suggest pallet cling wrap to secure. Hope this of use. Gerry
  14. We intend to take my Jeep to Debach-Martlesham control tower- open day was good:-D we missed Holt as we went to Chatham Dock 40's weekend. Ps. War and peace is mid july. Gerry

  17. Another camp of interest, is 186 (colchester) which is now the military corrective training centre. If I remember correctly a prisoner escaped(1946) and returned home- only to be told to get back to colchester- he got back to ipswich docks and walked to colchester,presented himself at the gate and asked to be let in- the camp commander was not amused as the camp was being closed down(1947) The book is camp186 by ken free

  19. I used 6v bulbs from motorbike supplies on ebay and used orange tape on lens from halfords. hope that helps. Gerry

I was going to keep out of this one (and probably should) but not that long ago insurance companies were charging for the modification of putting on winter tyres in the winter (crazy i know) and also lower speed rated tyres as a replacement for higher rated ones. Nothing will suprise me! I sold my Mk1 Escort Mexico (genuine) last yr as I can see the time, when it would only be for track days and that was never my goal! Moan over! Gerry
  22. Standing in drive, i heard a loud engine- and withthat saw the Vulcan 50/100 yards up the road flying over neighbours house's leaving the Clacton area after flying at Clacton airshow. What a Beauty :-D Gerry
