  1. Guys, does anyone have a spare Munga rear light unit they would sell? Any condition as long as it's complete, or a lead on where I could track an NOS unit down? thanks!
  2. Hello all. No real progress of late, as all efforts are concentrated on the Chevy restoration and family stuff. However, I was lucky enough to have a pair of headlamps pushed my way by a friend; not 100% correct style, but close enough, very pleased. Only a small step forward, but a step in the right direction!
  3. Rosco, I knew about Dennis retiring/selling up, but hadn't heard the company was continuing. Very good news.
  4. Hi NOS, not sure what the body in the second photo is, but I dont think it's a Chevy 1 1/2 tonner; the underbody detail looks different as well as practically no 'side steps' for want of a better description. Really interseting photos none the less!
  5. Richard, as long as the price is right, buy it; they're a lovely truck!
  6. I have been told that the bonnets are similar but not identical, appararently the radius over the radiator is different! :nut:
  7. Richard, engines are different (Chev 235 cu in, Jimmy 270 cu in) gearboxes different (Chev 4 speed, Jimmy 5 speed) Transfer boxes are different. Clutches are different also. Rear axle specific to Chevs, but I think the front is the same as Jimmy fitted with Corporation (Banjo) axles And thats just the start......... theres lots more!
  8. Hi, just sent you a text. Nice to see you have genuine Chevy running boards; they're gold dust!
  9. Interesting that you have the spring assisters above the rear leaf springs, normally fitted to Tippers and Tractor units (I think Pole Setters as well? Cant remember). I have a spare correct Chevy fuel tank if you need one? Nice looking truck!
  10. Hi Richard, I think I have spoken to the owner of the 3 tonner, hoping to pay him a visit later this year

  15. I've never tried starting a Ferret on a starting handle, but good advice when hand cranking any engine is never grip with your thumb; keep your thumb alongside your index finger. Once had an engine kick back and break my wrist!
  16. Yup, we're ready; new (bigger) tent, extra nappies bought, tyres pumped up on the Triumph ready for outrider duties! As per Rosie's comments, top job Jack; I know we all take the p***, but this is all thanks to you
