  1. This was a great day, thanks to all who organised this, and to Bournemouth Aviation Museum for the venue.
  2. You might try http://www.thesixappealwheelgroup.org/ for pics.
  3. A total outrage and waste of the taxpayers money, because we will have to buy them all over again new when our next war kicks off. But the MoD didn't think of that the last time either!
  4. Well, I filled in the form and intended to go but I've now got an electrical problem on the Landy so may have to miss it if I can't fix it Friday afternoon.
  5. Seen today at the WHOTT Rally at West Point, Exeter. I think it must be fairly local as I also saw it at Upottery.
  6. Sad indeed, thoughts and condolences to the families.
  7. Ex military 110 hard top Landy going south on A37 approaching Shepton Mallet, early this morning. (between 7 and 8).
  8. In the October issue of Old Glory there is a 4 page article on 1918 FWDs, including one owned by someone in Sussex.
  9. I would second that, recommend that anyone who gets the chance visits the Belgian battlefields, especially not missing out the smaller cemeteries.
  10. There are also other states as illustrated here; http://www.blackfive.net/main/2010/01/the-differential-theory-of-terrorism-alert-levels.html
  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIKINI_state The boards I have seen have been black with white letters and hooks to hang the various alert state panels on.
  12. Could the Army Benevolent Fund be of any help?
  13. Some time ago when on the dole, I was strapped too, I found that second hand bookshops are good for trade, so I sold years worth of books, most of which I have since collected again when in work. I did not consider for one moment selling my two medals. I would suggest finding some other means than selling your hard earned medals and beret. Just my opinion.
  14. A difference in terminology here chaps. In my experience a Trolley Acc (as in accumulator) is a hand pulled trailer full of batteries as opposed to a charging set. We tried once to start a 24 volt Spitfire with a 12 volt trolley at an RAF open day. It died pretty quickly! Oops!
  15. It's quite thick, so would need thinning if spraying. Goes on well with a roller. Gives a nice matt finish. Would buy more if I needed some.
  16. R.I.P. a Hero. Condolences to his family and friends.
  17. Did I see some of your vehicles at the Honiton Hill Rally on this Bank Holiday Monday?
  18. Before they got to Henstridge, they'd been to Plymouth and were on their way to Bournemouth and Detling.
  19. Very sad to hear that, thoughts to his family and friends.
  20. Spotted today at Henstridge Wings and Wheels show.
