  11. Cheers Stuart be good if some of his group could attend
  12. Clive the people that have made comments towards HMVF have you asked them to join the forum using there own names and voice there concerns to the members and also the management. As I can see it they are saying things about us and hiding behind you. From what I can see this forum is run much the same as other forums out there including the WW2 reenacting forum which is a very successful forum and they to use screen names or handles. A successful forum like that hasn't found the need to use real names to gain crediability so I dont think HMVF would gain anything by its members using real names.
  13. SOLD FOR £435.01 Anyone from HMVF buy it ????
  14. Hi Paul, I have a couple of pics that might help. Not my landie but one I was thinking of buying a few years ago. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i272/ian2b/landieNS.jpg[/img] http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i272/ian2b/landiefront.jpg[/img]
  15. That must be some very good perfume your wife is getting to allow the purchase of the M20, you sure she was not drunk when you suggested it.
  16. My understanding is that if you morris is over 3500kg laden weight or (gross vehicle weight) and built before 1st Jan 1960 then it would be MOT excempt. This is from the back page of the V112G no 30. Motor vehicles first used before 1st January 1960, used unladen and not drawing a laden trailer, and trailers manufactured before 1st January 1960 and used unladen. For the purposes of this paragraph any determination as to when a motor vehicle is first used shall be made as provided in regulation 3(3) of the Construction and Use Regulations. Motor vehicles constructed, and not merely adapted, for the purpose. What is the gross vehicle weight of a Morris C8 ?

  22. Hi Richard and welcome to the forum, i am guessing you are another member of the EAFVG if you know Lindsey and Eddy so hope to meet at some shows next season.
  23. I think Lee has a good idea there. A litle bit of money would give all MVT areas the much needed funds to put on there own shows. One point I think is important is the show money should be used for the benefit of ALL the area members both WW1, WW2 & Post War owners so no one is left out, so no themed shows with the money.

    Unknown MV

I had great fun driving mine it used to rock and roll a bit but that was probably due to worn suspension. One of the best thing about my one was it was Tax Exempt due to being registered as an ambulance. They are a very basic vehicle and the best description I have heard was "They are like a VW camper on steroids" which is a very true description. The biggest problem is RUST mine was very rusty around the roof channels and had other rust in all the normal places like door bottoms and wheel arches but other than that it was a solid vehicle.
