I've had my MK2 Ferret on a weigh bridge without kit inside and out and it weighed over 4 tons. The DVLA wouldn't let me MOT exempt the Ferret till I had the weight of the vehicle on the V5.
Depending on the age of the vehicle and I'm thinking pre 1960 would the Cat C part of the licence actually apply to a driver that passed his or her test after the rules changed 1997ish.
It would be a good idea for a prospective new Ferret owner to buy a pre 1960 Ferret

This Moke was featured in Mini World in June 1998 its a modified civvy Moke which the owner modified with bits of British Army surplus kit if anyone wants a scan of the orignal article let me know and I'll scan it.
The Military Moke is featured in Mini Magazine April 1997 same as above if anyone wants scan let me know.

Grease attracts dirt and likelihood of you removing the turret once everything’s working is remote. Just imagine the fun you would have cleaning it off when its altogether with added dirt.

Marcus Glenn had them on his stand didn't look at the price and I think he had the early style rubber aerial mounts £30 was on the side of the box.
If you're Champ is FFW it will be on the data plate under the bonnet and if it has been fitted with a radio it might still have the holes in the body side where the cabling has been.

Hi Clive I suspect that I might already have the answer having had the chance to lay it out on the ground today. The canvas looks to be an end piece for a 12by12 tent. If only I'd waited a day instead of rushing when it was dark. I had a quick look at the pictures on Franklins website and I'm even more inclined to think its an end piece.
Many thanks for the swift reply

No poles... I'll drape it over my car and see what it looks like, it does seem to have been used. Its a pain that the number has been shortened which makes identifying it harder.
Many thanks for the help
Andy
Sand the number down above the front hatch it should have numerous layers with 02DA74 or another like 00EA18. You could also try sanding the area where the circle is with a number 4 in it as the army reg was also painted in that position. Might as well do it now if you're going to re-spray / paint it.

Have a look on e-pay I quite like the sealey one as I want a trickle charger. Is it o.k. to use the jump lead socket on the Ferret with a suitable lead to trickle charge the batteries?

Does anyone know what fuel the No.12 Cooker runs off I'm thinking that its more than likely going to be diesil but... I would like to know before putting diesil fuel in it.

I liked building model kits when I was little younger (still do) I decided to buy a Ferret that needed lots and lots of parts hence the ferrett kitt bit.

Shame to do this I bought my first CMV at Borders (not sure that I've spelt that correctly) but from memory admittedly twenty years ago as a paper boy WH supplied the newsagents papers. I suspect that you will still be able to receive CMV by order from your local newsagent. Ask
