  6. Not a problem the Lightings party piece was taking off and going up the vertical... easy fit in a back garden of a terrace house... the wings stretching out into the next door nghbs gardens and blocking the light might upset them a tad.

  8. Must admit I've always liked SU carbs be it for a Mini or an MGB nice and simple... finding the right manifold, jets and needles would be interesting. Nice thought wouldn't go down to well with the purists though Andy

  11. I have been sent a few pictures of a B60 engine block the owner is asking is it a Ferret engine block or does it belong with something else? K9, stationary engine? The engine is block is grey It has the following stamped on a plate and I've had a quick look and I can not find it in the Spares Manual for the Ferret. RE23304 Ground off on the side of the block FV14499? With the leters FF in caps underneath The last picture shows a Ferret engine block it has the letters DD cast into the side of the block. Any ideas what its off? Andy

  13. It would seem to be more Fox than Ferret with its Aluminuim alloy armour (from the text). Why build a new vehicle when the Fox was available as a base platform? I might have answered my own question two different competing companies? Andy

  15. Maplins do not seem to sell the smallist fuses as found in the clansman Ib3 / ib2 boxes. I've taken one down with me before now to Maplins and still no joy. RS components might be a better bet Maplins is a touch to commercial. Andy

  19. I've got a no gas welder its great for thicker metal and working outside but I now wish that paid a bit more for a normal mig welder. Buying the cheapest one doesn't always pay in the long run Andy
  20. I bought the frame in the pictures below last week the bottom part is a Ferret Clansman mounting frame but the extra bit on the top in between the 353 mounts and the frame is? What could it mount in addition to the two 353's? Any ideas? Andy

  23. If you want the exact hole spacing I'll try and do it this weekend while my engines out no promoses though it all depends on the weather. I've have Petlas tyres on my Ferret seem fine Andy
