Big ray

I been looking at one or two of these over here, as like the look, but fear the wife would kill me
2. yeah it kind of reinforces my thoughts that the Western world is run by policies written by Alfred E. Neuman Korea - police action Malaysia - confrontation Vietnam - was also a police action I suppose when the UM, oops I mean UN can't decide on definitions of what a terrorist is or a refugee I guess its a waste of time and money. I think soldiers getting shot at by other soldiers is a war, especially when said soldiers are dying.
3. Still focusing on my mate's Pinz as I been nagging him so we could go for spin. Pretty much reassembled it went for a quick spin and the LH steering rod tore out. I am pretty much convinced it was not tightened correctly last time it had been tampered with, in the military. I actually saw it as a really good day as I am well glad this happened on a dirt road and not on the highway. The pit crew rushed to the spares vehicle and some 2 hours later we had the rod changed. 4. I don't think your other statement political or incorrect and has been written about often. I think the building of the new carriers is part of this as that area of the world is becoming more valuable.
5. found it ""When we started out, there were the waverers and the fainthearts. The people who thought ... we could no longer do the great things which we once did. Those who believed our decline was irreversible - that we could never again be what we once were ... People who in their heart of hearts had their secret fears that Britain was no longer the nation that had built an Empire and ruled a quarter of the world"
6. I think it depends upon resolve. Although successive governments muck around with defence expenditure it comes down to having the resolve to do it. Thatcher was told point blank that it was impossible to retake the Falklands and she told the defence chiefs unacceptable. "As to the United Nations resolution, the withdrawal by the Argentines was not honoured and our forces had to go there because they would not withdraw. Indeed, they had to recover and recapture British territory. I cannot agree with the right hon. Gentleman that those men risked their lives in any way to have a United Nations trusteeship. They risked their lives to defend British sovereign territory, the British way of life and the rights of British people to determine their own future" I was trying to find the vicyory speech as heard it the other day and was very good. Mind you reading this excerpt highlights the petty back biting that goes on in politics http://www.margaretthatcher.org/speeches/displaydocument.asp?docid=104969
7. "Officials have said all 97 people were on board the ageing Soviet-designed Tupolev Tu-154 Polish Government jet died" "Mr Kaczynski and his delegation of top Polish military commanders and state officials had been heading to Russia to mark the anniversary of a 1940 massacre of Polish officers by Soviet secret police" http://www.news.com.au/world/no-survivors-as-polish-president-lech-kaczynskis-plane-crashes-in-russia/story-e6frfkyi-1225852196064 Poland was my first ever international trip, so has always been one of my favourite trips. Same as you I hope the system can recover quickly
8. As you may have read the 88 member delgation, including the President of Poland crashed enroute to commerating Katyn yesterday with no surviors. It's just so shocking or is so shocking for Poland to lose 88 senior officials in one accident, President, Presidents wife, Head of the military, Head of the state bank and the list goes on
9. yes would have to throw in a best wishes :yay::dancinggirls:
10. When I was a little kid, I practiced car crushing using a brick layers hammer and my brothers cars....... He had annoyed me.... cant recall what
11. I am glad for one to see a movie like this remade. Sadly films like the longest day etc which showe the allies fighting side by side have been replaced by drivel such as U571 showing the US navy capturing a German U boat to capture an Enigma machine. Slightly inaccurate as: - The Us Navy wasnt in the war at that point - it was British that captured it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141926/#comment But what really annoys me the most is the excuse given at the time was that Americans would not watch a war film without it being Americans. Most Americans I have met would watch anything and would appreciate something different. Hollywood and the media act like a big Netnanny Watched Kokoda the other week, very gritty
12. yep she did a good job . Pity the place isn't bigger but seems Moldova has sold just about everything I am planning on doing this when I travel around, take piccies of anything military.
13. Thats what I was saying come over for a flight. I'll take you for a tour. No mad rush anyway as I'm going away for a minimum if 6 weeks and having had your new toys just arrive you will be tinkering with them for the ensuing time being. P.S. I quite like the cam pattern on the few I found on the net yesterday.

23. Well following in the tradition of a similar thread "Merry Christmas Honey". My wife, had to travel to Moldova urgently so I said whilst she's there to take some pictures of the Military museum in Chisinau
