1. nah no piccies, it was a bit like "why is there an elephant statue in the middle of nowhere" and the "its not a statue", "its not a statue". Was a male one. We had been warned not to travel these roads at night as they apparently wander all over the road, which I heard but wasn't overly concerned. The bigger concern is the log trucks, idiot drivers, excessive speed and complete lack of adherence to road rules
2. ok tanker guys, what is it?
3. pretty
4. i figure this happens a lot..... you see 5 items, all the same price, you bid, then someone out bids you i.e. why would you bid against something already bid on when others arent either lots of morons out there or someone bidding to bump the price up as most often it is relisted as soon as the austion ends
5. ok you can guess this one....... and don't ask Mark
6. well everyone we know over here wants one of these, ex-Army police bike me too
7. I had to drive 3/4's of around Malaysia today, from the East coast, accross the top and down the west coast to view some vehicles. Noticed these pillboxes overlooking strategic river crossings. Not sure how old but looked like not abandonned long ago as the second one we saw was in an Army camp at the next river crossing. Also we saw a statue of a big elephant on the side of the road, then realised statues don't start walking accross the road

9. Well looks like it's time Jack set up an auction service in here, Withams can do it??? Going to be a huge problem if I can't use Ebay to buy stuff. Might have to go now for a aearch and see whats f'd up
10. Cheers, not much done this weekend as was waiting on flights to go to Europe, so maybe next week (Europe or Pinz work??). But although my trip is for 6 weeks I have some planned stuff hopefully progressing whilst I am away Also a gearbox rebuild that I wont post until it actually works.
11. another tip..... get one of those little bells, with the small tInkle tinkle sound to call your loved one. When they dilligently arrive you can say "GIVE ME DRUGS NOW"
12. http://katalogelektronek1960.mysteria.cz/zobraz.php http://dc.hebe.cz/bazar/index.php this one translates as “surge discharge lamp” plenty of email addresses...
13. http://ondra-elektronik.sweb.cz/bleskojistky.htm translation Recently I came across a lightning type TESLA 11TN40 that Vrabel in Roznov. Intrigued me that it is written on them radioactive and there is a warning triangle, so here after searching and found that the isotope is there because of ionization that lit the nžším tension but I failed it yet zapálit.Parametry see datasheet below. As usual Emphasise that in any event not responsible for bodily injury and property caused by this device is obvious that you hope it's slightly radioactive!
14. you peaked my interest...... I think they may be batteries and yes radioctive. Most likely semi harmless in the casing but legalities may be something else........
15. what you need is a survey meter. If there is a NDT company nearby you could ask them to run a meter over it, before going to extremes. Typically NDT guys know more about radiation than bureaucrats Wheres it fitted and any idents on the box etc?
16. geiger counters dont use anything radioactive in them so is not that.

Anyone know the tyre type fitted and size of them? Was just looking through the withams tenders again :nut:
18. you could still have a fracture so if it still aches after a few days get it checked out at the end of each finger joints are like little pointy bits, the only way they know is by doing a bone scan where they inject radiactive dye into your blood. Xrays are not sensitive enough a lot of people have broken these are are never aware of it. Quick check is to touch your finger on your palm and put a dot there. The other fingers will basically all point to the same place. I had a numbty drop a magnet on my hand from a scaffold 10m above me. Lucky hit the side of my hard hat first
19. I got a set here, well off the Korean jeeps but I am told they are exactly the same. I don't need them as if I keep them I might buy the jeep to attach to them :nut:. I'll find out postage and you can have them for that... postage is cheap here..... May take a week or 6 as I am one of these prats that was supposed to fly to Holland on Saturday
20. I saw something similar years ago where they were demolishing a building and jumbing from pylon to pylon uising the buckets, so it was real stuff. Mental... and I say mental as I used to do a lot of crack testing on excavators :nut: Biggest problem was the truck drivers change the trailer tyres with them, ie swing the arm around, push down, dont need a jack, but used to do a lot of damage
