  1. I liked the Dodge in the battlefield look! We tend to drive our MV's way too clean and neat....
  2. Enigma

    fuel costs

I always say we like to weep and moan but take it in the be**nd. Lets see what happened if we motorists blocked all traffic on the motorways. Probably our PM would say we were bad boys like a little sissy. But seriously, why complain if we don't do anything as a group. United were strong devided were weak.
  3. When I try I get this; Illegal variable _files or _env or _get or _post or _cookie or _server or _session or globals passed to script. http://www.hmvf.co.uk/index.php
  4. It has been in the KTR magazine at 1 time. Haven't been there myself though. It has bull horns on the hood but looked in good shape.
  5. Yep, your right. Without Britain no invasion in Normandy, no bombers over Germany, Middle East probably lost, no convoys to Russia, etc. Basically; Game Over.
  6. They are rare. There is 1 sitting in Disneyland Paris.
  7. In almost every other country that would mean the woman is driving...
  8. I've spoken to a air despatch veteran just yesterday, shook his hand and said thanks. A very unsufficiant word to acknowladge what they did back then. Guys like those are waaaay more interesting than a guy who kicks a football around and make millions... (my 2 cents anyway).
  9. I wore a Welsh badged uniform, James as para and my brother as the Dutch Prinses Irene brigade.
  10. James just said to me to say thanks. Also many thanks from the rest of us.
  11. Just been to Eindhoven in the Dodge for the parade. We went with 3 persons, me, my brother and a English friend who drove to Holland all through Friday/saturday night . First to the parajump at Ginkel Heath on Saturday and today to Eindhoven. As usual my brother drove the Dodge while I took the parabicycle. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/Eindhoven18sept2006039Medium.jpg[/img] In Eindhoven we saw Bill Guarnere, Babe Heffron and Paul Rogers, all 3 from Easy company 506. At townsquare the veterans sat to see the parade. I knew 1 of them would be there, a Welchman. Unfortunately I didn't see him but waved a Welsh flag he gave me last year, the Welsh people sitting there enjoyed the gesture. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/Eindhoven18sept2006046Medium.jpg[/img] We had a very good time as you can imagine. Next link is a video of the start of the parade, it's a big file!! http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/th_Eindhoven18sept2006066.jpg[/img]
  12. Hi Mick Nice actionshot of you firing the pistol. Looks like you had a horrible time...
  13. Yesterday was the Parajump and parade in Ede near Arnhem. I was supposed to go in my Dodge but the organisation had too many vehicles and mine would just sit near at the barracks so this wouldn't work. Luckily Joris agreed to having us as passengers. (Thanks!!!) Me, my brother, his 2 kids, our Mum and a English friend (James). James drove from England in his car, leaving Fridayevening and arriving Sat. 07:00 hours, no sleep!. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/GinkelseHeide2006150Medium.jpg[/img] Joris, Mark the co-owner and all of us had a wonderful day, baking in the sun watching modern Para's and veterans in tandamjump coming from the sky. Some were dropped by Dakota. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/GinkelseHeide2006047Medium.jpg[/img] When we drove the parade through Ede I took the Parabike, lots of fun. Unfortunately near the end of the drive Joris's Dodge broke down.... :banghead: and we got a tow from a WC54. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/GinkelseHeide2006154Medium.jpg[/img] I'll let Joris tell the rest.

MR. Davies is in Holland right now. Hewill be in Arnhem on Sunday and Eindhoven on Monday for the parade. Guess in Eindhoven he will be looking out for me passing on my Parabike. :-)
  15. I think it looks good! Like how you used the mirror, you use your imagination. or learn from others. A thing which also works; make a photo with the sun just behind the vehicle, makes a nice effect. See exampleIts my brother; I made him stand on a garbagebin and I was laying on the floor. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/RonnyUSPara008Medium.jpg[/img] Don't be embarresd to lay on the floor, climb on something ar such. A average photographer can be recognised by how he makes a photo; always standing upright and just clicking without looking what's in the fore or background.
  16. Nope, all shows go to the Netherlands. Saves me a ferrytrip also... :-D
  17. I especially like the pic with the sun and jerrycans, very artistic! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Years back in our village the townsquare was being renewed. A guy had his car stuck in the sand so someone helped him. The guy who was stuck looked like a fool, because he needed help. When he got towed out he tried to regain his manhood by slamming the brake and tearing of the bumper of the guy that helped him. :-( Result; a torn of bumper and a loser who looked like a real idiot... Was fun to witness it though. :-D
  19. I suppose they'l be in Eindhoven for the parade at sept 18, I'll be there on my BSA folding bicycle, my brother and a English friend in the WC 21.
  20. Make photo's if possible. The most important outdoor tip; Do not wee against the wind... :-D
  21. I used a paintroller! Gives a nice texture and with 2 coats its thick enough.
  22. Sounds more like a motorpool re-anactment. Glad all of you returned safe. Guess its typical, not 1 problem but lots of them, good thing to have a little convoy to help each other.
  23. I wear WW2 BD's. To avoid itching :argh: I wear a normal pair of pants and shirt underneath. I walked around like that in heat of 30 degrees centigrade with a Recce helmet on my head. BTW a helmet is better than a beret in heat, a Beret traps heat while the helmet ventilates.. Don't forget the US infantry had for most of the war woollen pants and shirt. Guess that's why so many re-enact Airborne or use HBT.
