  1. Happy birthday 8-) Just wondering; how did you know me when you invited me? From Gordon's forum I presume? Anyway, well done!
  2. Anyone said Dutch? I can translate some for you, not the entire manual though...
  3. New battery, new paint and it's as good as new....(or not). :-P
  4. I won't be at a HMVF camp myself because we arrive early and reserve a spot for our UK friends. Still a HMVF camp would make it easyer to find more members and hustle for a free tea or cola

You said no MOT? Our equivalent is said to away next year, still a check by a expert is recomendable if you're not a tech wiz... Nice truck What fuel will you use then? Used chipsfat?
  6. When checking one out bring someone along who knows about Jeeps.
  7. Cara, thanks for the Tea! :cofee:
  8. The story behind the ride in the Sherman; Last year a convoy of tanks were driving around the fields. I was in Airborne uniform and when a Sherman stopped I put up my thump to ask for a lift and he said come aboard!! I helped him a little to park at his campsite and was introduced to his family. This year he was there again so I stopped by. He asked if I had my uniform, (Yes) and he invited me to the Mock battle if possible. I helped in the tank with the gas operated gun (HOT) and marshalled him to the arena at jogging speed panting like crazy. And the rest is history..... I'll let Mick tell you how he got into the tank.
  9. Try again, I had the wrong one and edited the post. Should work now.
  10. Playing in the arena in a friends Sherman on saturday... Enjoy
  11. I remember saying to Enigma "we will have to put a post on HMVF, What did you do at W&P" he then took that photo and started playing his harmonica which set the perfect atmosphere as the troops moved up to the front line and past us, before climbing in I wish him good luck and to keep his head down, we then when off to hut down Tiger tanks. Perfect Day :-D Sorry Jack  Heard you were there, a pity we didn't meet. It was a beautiful experience!! Enjoyed ourselves to bits. :naughty: After the re-enactment we got tea from Berni (ta!) while parked before the audience. Difficult to drink on the move though but Hey, a cup of tea can be enjoyed anywhere. :cofee: Also drove around the arena for the tanks display, again lots of fun!!

  14. About the question as stated above. We drove 416 KM and offcourse the ferry from Dunkirk to Dover.
  15. Cool pics with the crosshairs!! By the way, where was the Rommelcar? Didn't see it. Also only seen the Jagdpanther parked and driving out of the arena from the far side of the arena ground.
  16. Totally agree, it was hot!!!!!! I also took pics of the display. Because I managed to eliminate all the surroundings it looks like a diorama.
  17. Hi All After a 400 KM drive I should be sleeping now, tired. :-P Met Ashley, Lee, Berni, Mick, Simon and more. Hi to all. Hey Mick, we had a horrible time in the Sherman didn't we?....

  21. If I drive in the dark I wear a reflective vest in case I need to get out. I also have extra detachable reflectors on the rear bumpers made from a triangle reflector. Finally I have 1 eye on the innermirror too avoid being rear-ended.
