Any Austin 1 ton K9's in there? The card for my K9 no longer exists according to the usual sources, so fingers crossed! 79BG15 is the original army registation number.
Cheers!
Anyone have any idea if the tank from this post on another forum was saved? Also, what is it? A Churchill perhaps?
My knowledge of tanks is quite limited!

My Dad owned this about 10 years back. It had the original body on then, but with the massive headboard cut down.
I'll dig some pictures out. Great to see it saved though, doesn't look to bad.

That's the same colour as mine, I'm sure its eau de nil, the same light green as inside the rear radio body was painted, not skyblue (duck egg).
I'll be painting my K9 engine that colour when I get round to that bit.
Oooohh, I do love K9's!
My Dads owned more than a couple, his last GS K9 was registered GSU 427.
Last heard of in a private MV collection in Bolton.
This next was was bought directly from the garage that ran it as there breakdown truck in Birkdale Southport. Pictured at a rally in about '84.

The IOW GS K9 was advertised for sale about 3/4 years back. I too have some pictures of it that I'll dig out.
Thanks for the reply Wally. I hope there is a military storage area somewhere with those K9's just waiting to be found Seems to be quite a few coming K9's coming out of hiding lately.
Sorry for the thread highjack John.
