  2. Cheers will try those sites,couple of nice items ,with an interesting story behind them .Just like to know bit more about them.(father collected german stuff since end of ww2,too dear to now !!)

My dads is progressing slowly as he is not to good at mo. we got it to keep him busy now he is retired.when my mother goes out he sneaks into the garage and is starting to dismantle it !.Will be nice when its finished ,if you look at the jeep pics i have put on ,dont think we did too bad considering we are not mechanics! we just follow the manuals .:coffee:Will keep you posted

  8. hi Andrew , just to pick your brain mate, would a trabant engine be any good in a munga? there is one near me and as im not a mechanic i thought i would ask. regards Mark

  10. My dad uses boot polish on the jeep , i think he said they use to use it in the army too(national service).
  11. go on bodge go for it !!! there use to be (so rumour has it ) a jeep up there on railway wheels too .
  12. Welcome mate if you look at my pics you will see the munga 4 my father has recently purchased . It will be a long time before its on the road ,but as he is now retired it will keep him busy .!!

  16. ye i think it was , only saw the guy as we were leaving ,so couldnt chat for long , hes local so will prob bump into him again. He had a nice hippo too . it was for sale £2000.
  17. Just asked my mate who was there today , he says he has a pic and will load it for you .
  18. Hi no i havent but i have asked the guy to look at the forum and join. He had a picture board there today , it was a wreck when he got it . He has just finished it (was still signwriting it on friday night). Says he has another one that he will do to match when poss. This one is dated 1937 he said .
  19. Pics of todays local rally (one that was not cancelled because of all the rain!), not many militaries but at least some were there.
