  1. There was an old film over Kreta or Greece ww2, it shows a burned out wreck at the base of a cliff. It was a 2cv.

  7. I had a belgian army minerva land-rover that had two heavy 6 volts battery's in serie. It had a lot of radio equipment so more power needed...

  9. Is it a pressure horn or a vacuum one? Westinghouse made also the braking servos for the 1920 Citroen B14 and the C4.
  10. Some, it seems that one is still in use near New-York as a ferry. In the Scotland they had at least one too in the 50s.
  11. My boss has Volvo Duett with the same problem. It turned out to be an the voltage regulator that drained the battery. Car was converted to an alternator but one connector of the regulator was used to connect the wires...

  18. I was talking to a book seller on our Citroen meeting and he said the value of books were completly collapsing... joung people weren't buying much books. A large 300 plus pages Citroen DS book that was 350 euros now only did some 40 ... Difficult to get a living from that.
  19. Yes on the anvil. After that cleaning the oxydation away and did a "bouchonnage". With a cork in the drillpress and some valve grinding compound. After that clean with a cloth with a lot of petrol to avoid scratches. It's a job that needs a lot of attention to avoid errors...
