The First Allied Airborne Association to deploy Armour at the 2012 Bunker Bash event

At this year’s Bunker Bash show the First Allied Airborne Association will be performing 4 combat displays down in the wood line involving a Sherman tank, Halftrack, GMC’s and several jeeps. The team ensure us this is the closest you will get to the real thing short of actually going to war. With the experience of working on many film sets, the group will be setting their scenes during the Normandy Breakout, Operation Cobra.

With the action taking place in the close confines of a wooded area and not on a flat field battle area normally associated with public events this will be the closest the public have ever been to the action.

While the main aim is to put on a good show for the visiting public, the FAAA will also be promoting their Army Nurse Normandy Memorial Project which the group including their female Army Nurses sub group Have been working on for over a year and will culminate this year with the Unveiling of a memorial in Normandy on the 8th June.

The group will be continuing to raise money for this project at the show and will be raffling off two rides in the Sherman Tank with runners up riding the Halftrack.

All proceeds will go to the Memorial project.
