Markheliops Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hi all. Received a letter from Footman James today setting out thier intention to transfer all regulated business to Aon Limlted. Footman James are a subsidiary of Aon Limited. The letter states this is an administration matter and future cover will not be effected. I hope Footman James can continue to offer the quality service we are used too together with competative quotes but when Roadsure were taken over all services seem to double in price. Lets hope nothing changes. Markheliops Quote
ArtistsRifles Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 My Classic Saabs are insured with Aon - used to be known as Clarkson Puckle when I started - and their service has to date always been top notch!! Quote
Timinder Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Good news! I received that letter today as well - I insure my Scimitar (Reliant, not Alvis unfortunately!) through them and they have always been very helpful (and really cheap). Quote
Markheliops Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Agreed. I insured all of my Lotus cars through Footman James and they have always provided a good service, even when I had to claim once. Never had a problem. I just hope things will not change in the future. Quote
Swill1952xs Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hi Dudes, I presume Aon will be taking over the staff of Footman James so there will always be someone to deal with that has a knowledge of all types of classic and vintage vehicles. There's nothing worse than trying to arrange insurance with someone who doesn't know their ar**hole from an Antar. I had my Motor Traders policy with Aon for quite a few years when I had my workshop, and they were recommended to me by a broker I used. I had two claims for damaged vehicles and there wasn't any quibbling or delays in dealing with them, so hopefully they are still as reliable. They didn't even send anyone down to look at the damage either, so hopefully they will live up to your expectations. Quote
private mw Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 i received the same letter today .......:coffee: Quote

ArtistsRifles Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Same here - and no extra charge for adding a couple of spare drivers either!!! In all fairness - Aon have provided classic car cover for my old Saab collection for years and I've never had any reason to fault the service provided. Quote
