Swill1952xs
I thought that being Italian it would have fired the other way...............er if you know what I mean............... go on think about it. If not P.M. me. Another clue.............wasn't there a similar joke about the Austin Champ gearbox........... something about retreating as fast as they advanced in a Champ. . Spose the bl**dy Mafia will be looking for me now.......:-D
andreadavide
Beg to differ, although the design of the Vespa is Italian, the moped, weapon, and army are French... The mafia pardons you, but there is a Baguette waving mob coming to you... 8-) Andrea
Eugene
It's not a moped either!

GeePig
If one of those ran into the back of you, it would be interesting trying to explain the damage to your insurance company... trevor
Tony B
Big question is , who what and WHY in the first place?
Ron
The French had a thing for these! Jeeps, Mules, armoured vehicles and I've even seen one mounted in the back of a 2CV pick up. Ron
RattlesnakeBob
who the hell in their right mind would mount one on a mule ????? hahha...I hope t'chtrist they took it off his back before firing it
Tony B
Firing 'Whilst Mounted'. The reaction of the mule + forward projectile movement= What do you mean recoiless? Bet the poor creature whis's it's ears wern't so big. Exhaust gas area, deemed excessive. Mounted on a 2CV? That explains a lot of French driving habits.
Ron
Ha Ha! Yes indeed. I guess you would turn it sideways for firing off the back of a mule. But they must have trained the mule to stand still whilst aiming. Ron
jenkinov
The Vespa and mule variants were carriage only ....the cold war theory was that you would set up in advance of the Soviet army and fire 2 /3 rounds before the t62 and bmp returned fire and you were toast ...british had a rapid deployment unit that was deployed by hercules in front of the tank wave ...with milans.. I am sure they would have liked the vespa.... jenkinov
