Ewok
Here are a few more adverts and magazine covers. The First two are American and the third is a Belgium Postcard. Four and Five are from the UK and Six is Canadian. Seven to Ten are again UK and Eleven is from Denmark. Twelve is French and Thirteen (a bit of a joke) to Fifteen are German. The Last is for the Japanese Harley Davidson built under liscence as the Rikou type 97 and came in trike form (like the servicar) and was used throughout WW2
Ewok
It seems that the images have not been shown in the order that I uploaded them. I am sure you can sort them out. I have trawled the net for ages and have a huge collection of military motorcycle pictures. If anybody needs a picture and I have it, just ask and I will post it. Ewok
It's amazing what googling Wartime Advertising can turn up. The Volkswagen one is actually an anti-smoking poster and says something to the effect "2 Million Volkswagens up in smoke". Seems nothing much changes.... Richard Farrant
Not exactly an advert................. I came across a small surplus parts box, labelled with a RAF part number, packed in 1944, some BA screws made by DeHavilland Aircraft Co. On opening the packet, I was surprised to see that the inner box was made of card from Ryvita cartons, with helpful tips on how to enjoy your crispbread ! gritineye
I've got one of these little 10" lathes, dated 1941 on the spindle bearings.
