Great War truck
What was it? Not that easy really, but i think some smart Alec (Alan?) will get it straight away. Tim (too)
Tony B
Driver dosen't look to impressed. Is it a Holt? Or an early Caterpilliar.
Degsy
That bonnet looks rather Renault shaped to me.
Tony B
That bonnet looks rather Renault shaped to me. True or Citreon? The Austrians apparently used Holt's as gun tractors at the begginig of the Great War. Edited August 9, 2008 by Tony B

Richard Farrant
Is it a Renault GP agricultural tractor? I think they were tested by the French Army, but picture I am looking at, has slightly different road wheel arrangement.
Great War truck
Yes, you are just about there. It is a Renault (the bonnet does give the game away a little). It is an experimental agricultural tractor using bits of left over trucks (although the rad looks distinctly Pierce Arrow like) and allegedly parts from an FT17 tank. Great War truck
Here is another one. So what was it, where was the photo taken and what is it now (ok probably razor blades now, but what was it converted into). Tim (too)
Runflat
A bit easier this one - a Shanghai Tramways trolleybus using a modified Thornycroft 'J' chassis, probably using English Electric motors and controllers. Note the forward control layout.

Great War truck
Er, the illustration dates from 1922? I'm working on my mandarin, but dunno where you sit with a 2nd class ticket. Thats ok. I just thought that you might come up with something else. I will have to ask my Sister in Law to translate it for me. Maybe with 2nd class you sit on the other side? Tony B
3rd class, you get to push if the power fails? I can just remember visting relatives in London, an going on a trolley bus about 1960. Was that childhood false memory or did they run at that time?
