peter75
Can anyone give me an idea what the difference in numbers means on CAV dynamo? D8C 47X and D8C 59. Peter.
fv1609
I probably can Peter but I won't have a chance to look it up until tomorrow afternoon. I think it should be in EMER POWER O 122/
fv1609
Found the EMER but it's not in the CAV list. Looked in AP 1086 Sect 16E MT Electrical not in the CAV dynamos either. The only mention to D8C is in the CAV booklet that shows 4 variants.
Richard Farrant
Peter In the 1956 issue of 6MT4 Vocab, only the D8C/47X is listed, with the following notation: “for Bedford slave battery lorries and Loyd Carriers”
peter75
Thanks for the information. There's a D8C 59 on eBay at moment and was wondering about the differences. I think I have the D8C 47x with correct cradle safely waiting in Belgium but I'm always looking for parts for the Loyd. Does anyone have any details on the Bedford slave battery lorries? Just googled it and it mentions OY, is this correct? Thanks Peter.
