absturz Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Hi ! My name is Steve and I live and work in SE London. i've had a Series three SWB and I'm now running a 110 Defender and a 24v 101 Forward Control. i'm always looking for 101 bits. i scour scrap yards and sometimes get lucky. i recently found a Yard with LR wiring looms new in bag. i don't know what they are for and they don't fit any of my vehicles . if someone could direct me to the appropriate forum here I can post details. Cheers Steve Quote
Tony B Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Welcome in. The mark of a 101 owner, looking for spares and petrol stations. :-D Quote
absturz Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 Thanks Tony. Yes 101 ownership -spares and petrol stations. I've found more holy grails than I have exhaust manifolds ! As I mentioned, I found some wiring looms in a scrapyard. part no PRC 1234 NATO NID 5995-99-759-7492 Lucas p/n 51211029 new in bag. I have no idea what they fit. Should I post this somewhere else ? Cheers Steve Quote
Tony B Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Clive the Oracle will no doubt have it listed somewhere. :-D Quote
absturz Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 Hi Tony. I took your advice but I can't seem to access Clive's Corner. Is there another way to contact him ? Thanks Steve Quote
fv1609 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Steve I have actually looked for you a few days ago, I have searched IPC/ISPLs for Rover 1, 8, 8/2, 9, 9/1, Series 3 LtWt, SWB Diesel, 3/4 Ton, Shorland Mk 3, TACR S3, 1 Tonne, Defender 90 & 110 but I can't find my Rover 10/11 book. The thing is that for each vehicle type there may be many many contracts that have differences & within these there may be dozens & dozens of vehicle variants identified by an "Item" number & the differences are identified by a "Parts Peculiar to Contract xxx or Items xxx List" I have quite a few of these but not hit on anything. Judging by the PRC number it suggests this may be early 1980s era. Edited May 1, 2017 by fv1609 Quote

Judging by the PRC number it suggests this may be early 1980s era. Clive, A local car parts business had a load of these harnesses for sale last year at £5 plus postage. Said to be for a 1991 Land Rover, but another link indicated they were a main harness for a LHD Series 3 88/109, which sounds more plausible. Edited May 1, 2017 by Richard Farrant Quote
fv1609 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Richard this sounds all rather familiar, did this loom up a few years ago? If so I wish I had remembered, would have saved quite a bit of time searching through stuff that I couldn't find the answer to! Quote
absturz Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 Gentlemen , I must apologize if I have caused you uneccesary research . I naively believed that within PRC , NATO and Lucas part nos it would be straightforward to track the vehicle down. Thank you for all your help . Steve Quote
