MartinN
I have a Daimler dingo and want a cooker for it. I think it's a no 2 cooker. Has anyone got such a thing?
Surveyor
Last time Withams had one in used it went for £200 plus VAT
REME 245
Normally loads on E-bay. Avoid the pattern with the modern burner head. The proper war-time ones with detachable Petrol Tank are very rare and expensive. The second pattern appears in the 1945 Manual so presumably are very late war. Lauren Child
Keep a look out - there are two versions of the burner, so if you get bits make sure they go together. One with a conventional burner and a control that extends out, one with a 6-pronged flower-like burner that has a fixed control. Something went wrong... marvinthemartian
Has anyone noticed the large increase in price they are being advertised at on ebay. When I bought the few I have they were no more then £25 - £30 each. Just got to keep looking out for that elusive bargain.
Hoseman
If your on facebook? Got a good mate that collects, repairs and reconditions stoves and cookers. Great source of parts and info
g0ozs
I have two - neither perfect (one I can pump for ages but seems not to hold any pressure, and one seems to have a few bits missing) - the initial reason for getting them has passed so I am happy to negotiate with anyone who can make use of them (there might well be enough good parts to make one good one between the two, but as I have no immediate need I don't feel like taking the time) They were already quite expensive 2 years ago (one from e-Bay for around £100 and one from Withams for £75) Iain
Surveyor
Found this for spare parts https://fettlebox.co.uk/british-military-no-2-stove-seal-kit.html I have 5 cookers to service 2 MK 2 2 Mk 12 and a Mk 3, thankfully have the MoD manuals for them. Intend to get the external paint stripped and repainted first, they all seem to have originally been bronze green but sometime resprayed, Mk 3 badly
