No , but just pondering - when your old man went off for 2 months on this tank bury job - possibly the real truth was he had a bit on the side  ?

Should anyone want to delve into this issue further the site managers name is Andy Brading company name Urban & Civic at waterbeach and alconbury  not that he or they will be very accomodating .

The Mod is involved as it was their site but even less help as my communications with them over the years can prove....Denial ...there is a airfield museum while worth a visit doesn't hold anything that remotely relates to this subject ..well can't expect them to it was a war department secret .,.

What we really need is Scooby Doo & the gang - they'd get to the bottom of the mystery!

🤣🤣🤣

I'm sure this Andy Brading would be interested. it was 326 tanks wasn't it from the earlier post. restored over £250k each as wrecks at least £25k each so he's sitting over £8mill. thats worth a bit of ground penetrating radar and a digger and concrete crusher. the government will be up for that as it's broke!

That's what you'd think yes..but as I found to my cost here it was a completely different ball game ..right hon; P Hammond was / is the mastermind behind this development really nothing less than a new town 25000 houses shops schools etc: this all takes money but not digging up tanks money the years ago he was with 9 million according to the times..now his company or two companies have pulled in £625.millions worth of investments on this project last thing he wanted was that there might be anything wrong with this site until that is the time came he couldn't stuff any more cash in the till ..whether you like it or not I had a face to face warning in the street in June 2016 from him not to proceed with what I was doing ie.pushing to get back on the airfield before they ring fenced it ..from that warning on as I said any archive I went to they knew I was coming and it was always the same answer No.which is why I've thrown it open .....see if you can find a way ..ps they have dug across both aprons to expose beneath the concrete nothing else just two foot wide slots across each  ..number of reasons magnetometer , ground penetrating ,doubtful the developers would be looking more I think the mod munitions clearance team that did the airfield when I was there 2013........  Question ,,,,why haven't any of the toadies been caught with there fingers in the till recently ..think about it ...

so is this more about a dislike of pulling down the old airfields and building new towns then, rather than the tanks? that company in question has done lots of archaeological work on its sites, lots of roman stuff etc, no tanks though, and in the long term it is cheaper to clear up any contamination risk before building over it, so it would have been in their interest to remove them first.

This post started  2016  (2nd of April)  , something significant in it being the 2nd  ?

I think you may have hit the nail on the head - the originator has been playing the "Long Game" now for 5 years +    ,  yet still no hard-evidence just his hearsay.   Obtaining Planning Permission approvals for such large projects can take well in excess of 5 years - I doubt if we have heard the last of 'andy brown'  ,  on past form he will cease posts in annoyance but return in a few years.

Not in the least , it was more to do with it getting personal when Hammond appeared on the scene ,he at that time being the minister for defence and also .my local MP ,now Baron and in the house of lords ,known locally as Eeyore .re pollution an issue I bridged with Brading the site manager pointing out how much hydraulic oil ,engine oil, fuel ,coolant and lead paint would be swilling about in there .his face turned a little ashen and Hammond turned on me ....not that I've lost sleep over it ...

Andy, this is a quote from you on 9 May, " being naïve I had worked on the assumption that if you asked a straight question you could expect a straight answer..."  Looking back through your posts, it is clearly a dictum you aren't prepared to follow yourself: you have carefully avoided ever answering a direct question, in fact you seem to have delighted in trying to give us all the run-around.  This is, quite frankly, childish, discourteous and boorish.  I, for one, am pulling the plug on this thread - I'm bored with your silliness and leave you to indulge in your conspiracy theory fantasy on your own.  Sorry.

Sorry you feel like that..when I came to the for i figured that such a wealth of knowledge might throw some light on the whys of what I had that didn't happen all I got was more questions most of which I had no answer to ..as for conspiracy theory how many people do you know that have been blocked from accessing the National Archives on a face to face visit or having ones computer swamped with automated adverts etc..from the site management team for months on end, .not my problem if this is below your expectations  , bottom line to all of this is I'm sitting on a probability of uncovering what every one here can't swallow ..no disrespect but they world out there isn't neatly  pigeon holed .these people are in it for money so beware .......

I doubt that the development agents of the waterbeach site will be in any hurry to start on my claim of a burial as to them such information if it transpires that it is as I've said and I have no reason to think otherwise, it would be seen as a kiss of death if the investors and or prospective purchasers of properties on the site found as the press might describe it ...an arms dump....yes the site has a clean bill of health but as I've said the burial area was not included in the initial scan of the site due to a historical variation in considered live fire areas ie,a fence line placed that segregated the airfield from the barracks ,the burial area then lying within the barrack area ......and so not scanned......so maybe about the man involved IMG_20210902_142214922.thumb.jpg.3415b36eafc11f3bc915c3ae7774bb9e.jpg
