Nick Bombini
Not abandonded but this is pretty cool. http://www.missilebases.com/ There sure is lots of space to restore military vehicles  and you don't have to worry about any storms or the "enemy" destroying your investment in vehicles .[/i]
LeeEnfield
Thats one 'interesting' site, Nick. Do any of these sorts of area's get left 'as is', as a future museum, for generations to come see. ? Or are the military getting rich on selling off the asset's  I guess,if like this country, paid for by the tax payers. There was news of a bunker/underground command center in this country, for sale,on the news the other day, never been used, chairs and tables had not even been unwrapped, the only way to travel, with it being so vast, was by (electric ?) rail-less 'train'type vehicle. This, most certainly, WAS paid for by our taxes, - bet the moneys raised by the sale, wount come back to us tax payers   Andy
Nick Bombini
Well, it says it cost our government about $18 million USD to build each base and they sold them off to this guy for about $50,000 USD each . That's our taxpayer money being put to good use .
