Skint George
Here's one for you. Someone I know is selling his M38A1 but it doesn't look quite right. The petrol filler cap is at the rear, it has a glovebox type hole on the passenger side , the lights aren't right and other bits that don't seem right. The owner states it's 24volt imported from the Netherlands. It has a civvy serial number and not one that starts with MD. The scanned doc shows it imported to the Netherlands from Swizterland and it is a CJ5. Could this be an ex Swiss military jeep? Ive read the Swiss bought CJ5's from the U.S. part militarised so could this be one? Can any one translate this form and does it show any military connection? Thanks, George
Nick Johns
The Swiss Army did indeed have modified CJ5 Jeeps, link to thread on G503 Re military CJ5 http://g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=214469
Skint George
Thanks Nick. Ive checked that site out too. The Swiss jeep doesn't appear to have wipers. What sort of set up are they and are they available? Thanks George

Skint George
Thanks maurice. Ive sent them an e-mail but as they imported the jeep in 1993, I'm not hopeful of any info. But God loves a tryer! George Edited February 25, 2016 by Skint George
