Hi all,

Could anyone kindly sign post me in the right direction.

I am looking for a right hand water pump for my Canadian Ford F60 flathead v8.

My water pump seized last week and I am having great difficulty finding a spare!

kind regards,

Mark Towers

Hi Mark

Where are you located? Might help source part, several sources in the US but shipping maybe as much as the part. On other forums there have been discussions of rebuilding water pumps.

Good looking truck.

Cheers Phil

Rebuilding is not too difficult, I brought a pair of rebuild kits while in the U.S. and did the job in the garage just using a large vice, a punch and a hammer. The bearing kits come with new seals. There are a number of different variations of flathead water pump so make sure to order the correct kit.

The parts are readily available in this country as I already stated, we have purchased second hand bodies from the sam source, as they used to offer rebuilt units but no longer offer this service. I have rebuilt three now and the important thing to remember is that the cast iron face for the seal must be good and flat and true to the centre line of the pump shaft or you will end up with a leaky pump.

Best regards

John
