Hello from Oxford

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

just to let you all know I suffer a little bit of obsessive collector syndrome. Being into land rovers for a while (22 years with a break in the middle) I've had quite a few in my past

My current collection of vehicles stands at 10 (I think.:undecided:) not including the modern commuter box. I'm deinately limited to that by the better half.

On the military side I have;

  • 1970 2a lightweight ex RAF undergoing a very slow rebuild onto new chassis.

  • 1978 109" 24v ffr converted to fire engine by VF specialist very early in its life. Need to do some history digging onthis one.

  • 1942 Willys MB. This is an ITM jeep with 2 rebuilds so a bit of a triggers broom, but I love it.

hopefully I've managed to attached a couple of pics

I realised the other day that I have owned 3 101's in the past but all now sadly moved on. No doubt another will take my fancy one day.

So it appears 've got a bit of a green thing going on albeit with a dash of red.

Just joined mvt so no doubt see a few of you at the meets. I have much to learn.

regarding the pump, the Godiva is a common fitment on land rover fire engines from my experience as I have seen a few with its set up. Although I suppose not that many landrovers were fitted with pumps in the grand scheme of things so it it a bit of a rarity. For this one I have the original manual that I must get around to scanning and sharing one day. My other fire engine ( in the background of the jeep pic) has a petrol driven Godiva in the back rather than using the landy engine to power it.
