One of the problems, esp with the sten, was it was produced in very large numbers, by loads of different firms.

Hang on, a mo,..............apparently, there MAY well be a way to tell,........

looking to Ian Skennertons book 9mm Sten Machine Carbine Marks 1,1*,2 & 3. isbn no 0949749 27 3

according to him,the Mk 3 was produced by Lines Bros, of the Tri-ang works in Merton, London used the makers code S68. This is to be found marked on magazine housing, as well as other major component parts.

Foe ALL things STEN, this book really is a MUST.

Anymore info, ..get in touch.....................

Andy
