oddball
I've been thinking that it would be nice as a group to be able to support a charitable cause in some way. Anyone got any thoughts on the subject?

Degsy
Great idea, count me in,could I suggest the Royal British Legion as a suitable charity.
oddball
Thanks for the support guys, suggest as much as you want Degsy. If we get enough interest in the idea we'll need plenty of suggestions for suitable charities & then put it to the popular vote.
Karoshi
Is there a way we can get this rolling at the Remembrance Sunday service, can we collect for the Legion or a charity or whatever? Do we need some sort of licence to do that? Jack as thats under the banner of HMVF what do you think? Karoshi
Degsy
N.Wales MVT members will be at 2 locations with vehicles actively Poppy selling ,most RBL branches are delighted and very grateful for any offers of help. I feel it is the least I can do for all the sacrifices that have been made on our behalf. Lest we forget !
Jack
My good lady and the children are doing the villages around us and started yesterday.............I was under the bonnet of the GMC   so could do a great deal, but wait for next year as I am going to get out into our local towns with the GMC and hit it hard! Karoshi
Jack can you clear with the Poole organisers about us shaking tins, or better, get some from the Legion. If not can we at least enquire about "official collectors badges", so we can use canvas buckets if necessary.
Jack
I think that it is being taken care by the RBL, but I will ask the question!
Karoshi
I understand that, but thought HMVF may be able to assist and then be seen to make a donation.
ashley
Hi all, i know for a fact that despite several attemps by the local MVT guy`s our intrest to help out at a local level in the past we`ve had zero support /intrest from the local RBL. I dont mean to be negative but iam not sure that collecting would be liked on the as you know it is usually done in the preceding weeks, and could be loooked into for next year. I mean it when i say to be invited to a ceremony here in Bmouth /Poole area is quite a breakthrough. Ashley
