Got a picture of the lid? A theorie is that the Allies may have made cans like these as pilot production prior to the production of the known models. Is there any markings on the top right side such as G or C or 4 ?; ;info taken from Philippe Leger,s book on Jerrycans,, which never ceases to amaze my friends as to the level us anoraks will go to !! Of course I said, and as we unloaded the half dozen or so he had for me I said Ahhh - Chinese ones eh? Blinking heck he said (or something similar) how can you tell they are Chinese?
