Tony B
You can get down to the Bovington area by train, floods permitting! :-D From Gatwick, which is Crawley area Surrey, if your looking on Google earth there are good links all over the south of England. Depending on how long you have you could get up to South London for the Imperial War Museum and Chelsea for the Natonal Army museum within a couple of hours. Would be worth looking at the National Express coach site. There a reasonably inexpensive way of getting about, and often hve better coverage than rail for similar journey times. Gatwick airport is about 30 miles south of London and the same from the south coast to give you a perspective. About 130 miles from Gatwick to Bovington. Lauren Child
The IWM London is still closed, and many of the exhibits are at Duxford while it's re-vamped. IWM London is due to re-open in the summer. It's well worth a visit to Duxford if you are coming by though, and the Churchill War Rooms in London are still open, as is HMS Belfast.
