Rick W
Can any of you Morris owners advise me on the taking off of the transfer box. It would make cleaning around that area a helluva lot easier. The various manuals I have tell you how to split the box, but I dont want to do that, as I can see me ending up with a pile of cogs on the floor. What I want to be able to do is find out which bolts attach it to the gearbox, ( I can only seem to positively identify one bolt so far which goes through both), and take off the transfer box as a whole with the propssliding out each side of the box, is this possible? If so can you give me any hints on how etc? Cheers guys :? :dunno:
Richard Farrant
Rick, To remove the transfer case from the gearbox, entails stripping the transfer box because g/box mainshaft runs right through it with two gears on the shaft, as well as two oil seals and speedo drive.
