M5Clive
Seems a fun idea to have a pictorial list of the MV's that are booking into the event. I will kick things off by posting these ones which have returned their entry forms this week! A real cracker to start with http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/06820Sherman.jpg[/img] Owned and fully restored by one of Suffolk MVT's longest-standing members and regular HMVF contributor Adrian Barrell, who needs no introduction here! Here he is with his fantastically restored M4A4 charging towards OPERATION BOLERO
M5Clive
Richard Taylor who owns Debach Airfield where Friday's Bolero convoy will concluded has also returned his forms this week. These pictures show his GMC & Dodge Weapons Carrier that he is bringing for the weekend! http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/IMG_0530.jpg[/img] http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/IMG_0529.jpg[/img]
M5Clive
I better not leave Brian out otherwise he will get very upset! Yes, I know its a Jeep and I'm not really encouraging too many Jeeps but I can hardly refuse local Suffolk Area MVT members from attending their own Military Vehicle show can I ;-) http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/IMG_0528.jpg[/img] Brian is also transporting his friends M-16 Half-Track up to Bolero HQ for the weekend as well, so I better keep on his good side
M5Clive
And of course not forgetting................ http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/Feb2007MVpics053.jpg[/img] The on-going restoration of this Diamond T 975 is being undertaken for its debut at Bolero and belongs to local Suffolk MVT member Howard Wade. Its story can be followed on the Blogs of MV Restoration section of HMVF.

Jessie The Jeep
http://www.sacarr.co.uk/usaaf/b17/7.JPG[/img] Oh if only I could bring it!!!! Instead it will be my 100th Bomb Group Jeep. So long as it isn't too hot, I'll have my kit on too. http://www.sacarr.co.uk/jeep/gallgen/jeep7.jpg[/img] Where are the entry forms? I haven't found them on the http://www.redballexpress.co.uk/ site yet Steve
Mark
Clive isn't blaming his wife for it - He is blaming his brother! Reason being, I spend ages designing an entry form and then e-mail it to Neil for inclusion on the web-site. Neil says, I can't open in on my Mac, why did you use Microsift Publisher to design it? Clive replies, because you gave it to me for Christmas!!! WC's are welcome as are a few Jeeps, but I'm keen not to turn this into a Jeepfest, so Jeep numbers are limited. M5Clive
Just Practicing for the big weekend! Suffolk Area MVT, headed-up by John & Sue Cashmore in their Willys MB weave their way through Lavenham village. This was our annual summer convoy and BBQ outing in August last year where we took-in some of the beautiful scenery in the south of the county. If you look closely, you can see Lovejoy coming out of the Swan! (Most of the episodes of Lovejoy were filmed in Suffolk and North Essex) http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/IMG_0618.jpg[/img] Pausing the convoy at the memorial to the 447th Bomb Group, Eighth Air Force at Rattlesden airfield, Suffolk. M5Clive
Just had this fantastic Diamond T 981 book-in to Operation Bolero from Maldon in Essex http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w205/suzannewitton/Picture20091.jpg[/img] The owner is going to be driving it up to Suffolk for the weekend event in preference to going to War & Peace at Beltring - We are honoured indeed :-)
