Scotch Harry
Just dug this out and nothing special apart from the fact that its been nicely tailored(never seen a tailored shirt before). What would have been on the eppaulettes-staybright RA titles?
wdbikemad
"Tailored" shirts, sewn-in creases in the lightweights, and similar tailored Denisons and 68 pattern combat smocks..........all the rage in the late-70s/early 80s............ Who remembers the common style of wearing the DPM smock "bloused" (lower drawcord tightened)...?? Fashionable in the late 70s/early 80s, but it had almost gone post-85.......... Redcap
We were wearing our '84-pattern combat jackets bloused well into the '90s. It was a more tricky proposition with the 68 pattern jackets though, as it seemed that they were somewhat less generous in the cut below the chest
Scotch Harry
Another shirt, quite nice in that it has had the sleeves nicely tailored.
chevpol
would one of these from W.P.G be ok for early wear under 70s dpm? ie as a substitute for a hairy Mary KF shirt? Mark
wdbikemad
Looks more 64 pattern (pocket pleats)............for far less, khaki and green original KF combat shirts can be had for around 5 - 10 pounds..............try "Sabre Sales" in Southsea or "Surplus and Outdoors" in Kidderminster for starters.........far cheaper proposition than WPG and for an original issue item.......
