so what would have been used for ? in what roll ?

Moving airdrop supplies from the drop zone to bases, and many other roles. It would carry a pallet on the back, plus had a fork lift pallet trailer, plus a self loading lightweight pallet trailer. It could also tow an air portable fuel container.

 

It was also used by special forces, and could have a Gimpy mounted on it for fire support.

Very cool - what license do you need to drive these? Is it an H for skid steering or can you drive on a car license as there are no tracks to be steered by?

 

Looks like an ideal vehicle for popping to Tesco's :)

 

Normal car licence :).

 

I popped down the shop for a pint of milk in it on Saturday morning......came back a mile offroad - because it can :D.
